Account

Do I need an account? No. Chess against the AI and on one phone work without an account. An account is needed for friends, online games, stats, trophies and leaderboards.

How do I sign in? Enter your email address in the Profile tab. You get a 6-digit code by email, with no password. Check your spam folder if it does not arrive.

Can I change my username? Yes, in Profile, Edit profile. After a change, you can change it again 30 days later.

How do I delete my account? Write to us from the email address of your account and we delete everything within a month. A button to do it from the app is coming before the launch.

Friends and online games

How do I add a friend? In the Friends tab, share your friend code, show your QR code, or search their username.

Is there a time limit? No. Each player moves whenever they like. You get a notification when it’s your move, and a reminder after a day.

My friend stopped playing. After 3 days without a move from them, you can cancel the game, with no change to your Elo. Before both players have moved once, either player can cancel it at any time.

How does the Elo work? Everyone starts at 1200. Only games between friends count. Beating a friend rated higher than you gives more points.

Notifications and sounds

I get no notifications. Check that notifications are on in the iPhone Settings, Gear Play, and in the app, Settings, Notifications.

How do I turn off the music? In Settings, Music and sounds. Each sound has its own switch and volume. The music pauses during a game when game sounds are on.
